Questions from our customers.
Make sure to check back often, our FAQ list is constantly growing as does our ever growing number of loyal Fry Roast Coffee Fans.
What is “Fry Roast Coffee"? how is it different than other coffee roasters?
We use our Fry Roast Coffee Technology to roast our coffee.
It is a novel patent pending roasting technology that perfectly develops the roasted coffee beans for great flavor, aroma, low acidity and tannins.
Why have I not heard of Fry Roast Coffee before?
Well, the simple answer is we're a brand new coffee company with brand new cutting-edge roasting technology.
As we expand into more and more markets across the U.S and beyond, we look forward to providing you with even more incredible coffee and we thank you for your continued support.
Why is Fry Roast Coffee not bitter and upsetting to my stomach like other coffees?
Tannin's and acidity are the bitter nasty stuff in coffee that ruins its flavor and irritates your stomach and contributes to excess acid, (aka. acid stomach). So low tannin's and low acid in coffee is the key to preventing excess acid in the stomach. Our coffee is never bitter, is low in tannis and acid and is easier on the stomach. So drink up! * See "Press Room" page for more info.
Why is your Fry Roast Coffee (Legacy Dark roast) not black and oily like other dark roasts?
With our novel roasting technology we create a better roasting environment for the coffee beans. We simply do not have to degrade the beans through excessive heat, extensive pyrolysis, and extended thermal breakdown to get to a dark roast.
Why do I see the silverskin/chaff on the Fry Roast Coffee whole bean coffee that I ordered?
Fry Roast Coffee Technology allows us to utilize the entire bean, this is revolutionary! Our process doesn’t burn the bean or the chaff so there is never any off-notes or bitterness that would change the flavor or aroma of the coffee. By utilizing the entire bean we also don’t have the tons and tons of coffee waste that have to go to landfills! In fact, every roast we do, and every cup you drink of our coffee reduces landfill coffee waste and helps us minimize environmental impact. We think that’s pretty amazing!
Where do you get you’re coffee beans? Are they 100% Organic Arabica?
Yes our beans are 100% Organic Arabica. We inspect, sample, select, and roast only the highest quality Arabica coffee beans from farmers that we know and trust who have been farming for generations in prized coffee growing regions of Central/South America, Africa, and Indonesia.
With that said, it is important to remember however, that a great cup of coffee is mainly due to great roasting. We have a trademark/slogan that sums it all up: "It's Not The Bean....It's The Roasting".
Is your decaf coffee water decaffeinated?
Yes, our decaf coffee for all of our roasts: (Ace High, Sweet Time, Legacy) are all naturally water decaffeinated. Water is the most natural way to decaffeinate coffee beans and retain their flavor.
I can drink Fry Roast Coffee black (no creamer) how do you make it so smooth and not bitter?
Because of our roasting technology and our coffee non-bitter-smoothness, we're known as the "Black Coffee Drinkers Coffee" due to the fact that creamer and sweetener is not needed (unless desired). So enjoy your Fry Roast Coffee throughout your day knowing it's always rich, smooth and delicious! * See "Press Room" for more info on tannins.
If I were to use sweetener which ones go well with your coffee?
Here are the sweeteners that "our customers" have said that "they like best" with our coffees "your preferences might be different due to how you brew your coffee, allergies, taste etc". The following list of sweeteners are compiled from our customer feedback and are for example only. 1.) How should I store my Fry Roast Coffee to keep it fresh?
All of our coffee bags come with zipper closures and one way gas valve, so all you need to do after you’ve scooped out what you need for brewing is to zip it closed, squeeze out the air in the bag, and then store in your pantry or kitchen cabinet, this prevents the coffee from being exposed to air which will stale the coffee over time. But the best way to keep coffee fresh is drink it within 14 days of receiving it!
Does Fry Roast Coffee make espresso?
Yes we do! We love espresso as much as you do! Many of our customers buy our Legacy dark roast whole bean and grind it for espresso. But you can really use any one of our roasts: Light (Ace High) for Ace Espresso, Medium (Sweet Time) for Sweet Espresso, Dark (Legacy) for Legacy Espresso, try them all for exceptional espresso! We hope you’ll enjoy them as much as we do!
Does Fry Roast Coffee make single serve pods or cups?
We will only roast our coffees to be consumed (by you) within 14 days after roasting.
While we like the convenience of single serve pods and cups, we don't like the coffee that's in them nor do we like the empty pods and cups that go to landfills as waste after they are used only once.
But there is a great alternative, our customers have told us that using Fry Roast Coffee in their single serve basket gives them incredible coffee and is a much more logical and environmentally sound option while still convenient.
